Prof Mauro Gacci Urologist Specialist in Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urological Surgery

The integration of healthcare, research, and education – a fundamental principle of the National Health System – represents my professional identity in Italy and abroad.

I am a medical surgeon, a specialist urologist, with over 25 years of experience. Throughout my career, I have performed - as the lead surgeon - over 8000 urological surgical procedures, with a particular focus on the use of robotic and minimally invasive techniques.

The clinical outcomes of the patients I have treated have been the subject of scientific studies and compared with the most significant cases worldwide. My passion for research has led me to publish over 800 papers, recognized by the entire international scientific community and, as a result, included in guidelines and textbooks for specialists in training across all countries.

Furthermore, my dedication to teaching and education has allowed me to hold key roles in prestigious international scientific societies. I have thus become the head of the educational board of the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU-Academy) and a member of the European Association of Urology Guidelines (EAU Guidelines).
